Christian Musician John Wilds revealed how his mother’s prayer lifestyle gave him a lifetime impression and guides him towards true joy and contentment as he was growing.
This was revealed in the midst of singing “Way Maker” in an event tagged Jesus ’19, a gathering organized by Jesus Image, at the mark on 7:30 in the video. He told the audience “I want to encourage you tonight because I learned faith from a praying mother.”
He recalled he woke up one night hearing the cry of his mother as the family was facing hard time and was one the verge of been evicted from their home, “One night I was in my room. We were in the middle of a situation. We were about to be evicted. We’d been homeless before,” he explained.
“I heard my mom crying in the middle of the night. And I wondered what was up so I got out of my bed and went over to her room. I thought she was going through something, something was wrong. The door was cracked and I pushed it open just to see what was wrong with mom,” he added.
As the crowd was enthralled with the story, he added that “The crying that I heard wasn’t the kind of crying I thought it was,” because she was waiting on God with all her heart to overcome challenges and was not in any physical distress.
John Wilds concluded that “She was kneeling next to her bed, thanking God for His faithfulness. Even though she may not see the situation changing, she was declaring ‘God you’re still good and I thank you for what we do have! We may not have all that we’ve been asking for but we thank you that we have everything that we need because we have you Jesus!”
This story tensed the environment with the presence of God as he began encourage the audience “And I declare that Jesus is all that you need tonight!”
It is very clear that, this little action of his mother truly have a strong root in John wilds’ life and that is why is very important to keep trusting God even the midst of storms because he truly the way maker and nothing is too hard for him. The Palmist says O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: and when you call unto him, he will surely hear your cry.
