Christian Leaders Calls our for Prayers to Fight Coronavirus

Believers in the US are being admonished to engage in prayer as coronavirus continues to rise in the US. This charge was given by two Christian leaders who saw the need for believers to prepare spiritually and not only physically for the fight against coronavirus.

Last Tuesday, Pastor Mike Jacobs and his Wife after seeking wisdom and prophetic counsel from prophets across the nation and world concluded on having a Global Day of Prayer.

According to, Cindy said since it’s a worldwide issue, it’s going to take the whole church to cry out together for the mercy and healing power of God to contain it.

In preparation for the Global prayer Day, Jacobs released seven key points that guided Christians in how to pray. According to CBN, the prayer points was posted on and outlines:

Pray Psalm 91 over your families and nation.

Pray against fear and remind ourselves that God has not given us a spirit of fear.

Pray for wisdom for our leaders to contain the spread of the virus while protecting their people effectively.

Pray for courage for believers to share Jesus effectively through this time of crisis.

Pray for a worldwide move of God.

Make a decree that the coronavirus will cease worldwide, and that God will heal all who are currently affected by it.

Re-consecrate yourselves, your families, and your nation to God through the taking of communion.

The host of Exploring the Industry, Pastor Shawn Bolz said that he believes God will do something and help humanity to bring solutions however, there was a need for preparedness.

Adding that the “tide is turning now”,therefore there is need to pray as smart people,as people who actually care about living, as people who actually care about other people living,” He continued.”I think we should say that this is not our story in our generation. We should be praying for health, healing, and wisdom on how to navigate.”

Bolz suggested that there was need to pray before embarking on any journey of any kind and the use of wisdom, prayer and discernment should not be sidelined.

“The use of the Word of God as been prescribed as the best vaccine at a time like this”. Jacob said

Adding that “I would suggest to people that one of the best vaccines in the world is the Word of God because there will be other different things that will try to come to attack you physically and you have to be able to be up on your Word and in your faith to be able to deal with them,” he said
