Dear minister, never become ashamed of your calling. Every calling in Christ is A HIGH CALLING – Phil.3:14.
Dimensions and operational dynamics notwithstanding, you carry A HIGH CALLING from the Lord.
Don’t embellish the specifications of your calling on the altar of social acceptance.
You will be liberated in your mind the moment you know that YOU’RE NOT SENT TO EVERYBODY.
Our Lord Jesus once said that there were MANY WIDOWS in Israel in the time of Elijah but unto NONE OF THEM was Elijah sent but the widow of Zarephath – Lk.4:25-26.
Dear minister, you’re not sent to everybody, and as such NOT EVERYONE WILL ACCEPT YOUR MINISTRY. That’s a bitter pill to swallow!
But one thing you should never do is to adjust the pattern that God has given to you because you seek acceptance.
The consequence of such spiritual miscalculation can be very grave and grievous.
For instance, if you look at ministry generally, you discover that in terms of expressions and manifestions, some callings appear to be “TUSHER” than others but that’s still human rating and not divine assessment.
There are manifestions of the anointing that make you look “TUSH” and there are manifestions of the anointing that will make you appear “ROUGH”, but friend, YOU’RE NOT ROUGH; it’s the call of God upon your life in display.
If you’re called to minister for instance in the mode or stream of great men like Dr. D. K. Olukoya but because of acceptance, you want to minister like Joel Osteen, my brother, YOU’RE OWN YOUR OWN.
You had better stay with your calling and measure and don’t say you also want to look “TUSH”.
There are ministers who operate in such a measure of the anointing that the moment they handle microphone, people start tumbling and somersaulting and the whole place is scattered while great things are happening in people’s lives.
Such ministers must be confident with the Grace of God upon their lives and not aspire to look “TUSH”.
You see, God has called you into OBEDIENCE; not “TUSHNESS”.
You can look “TUSH” in terms of a good outlook and physical appearance but you must not look “TUSH” in the sense of changing the pattern of your ministry.
If you met John the Baptist in the wilderness dressed in camel’s hair and eating locusts and wild honey – Matt.3:4, I’m not sure you would see a “TUSH” minister but his calling was a great calling – he prepared the way for the Messiah.
Never become ashamed of your calling friend. If God says you should call out a case in a meeting, don’t tell God that He wants to embarrass you just because the outlook of the people doesn’t show it.
Those who look so “TUSH” and civilized on the outside may be battling with strange things in their lives and God has sent you to announce their freedom.
If all of us can stand in our callings and minister in accordance with our measure of Grace without being ASHAMED and without feeling inferior, then God’s people will be edified and they will be in for MUCH BLESSINGS.
Don’t be ashamed of your calling dear friend. Grow. Develop. Expand. Don’t stay on the same level. Widen your horizon. And minister with BOLDNESS, knowing that you carry A HIGH CALLING in Christ.
As you fearlessly and unapologetically deploy your calling for the edification of the saints and the blessing of humanity, you will see God lift you and open greater dimensions of Grace unto you and your ministry will bring honour and praise to His holy Name.
I trust this is a blessing Sirs and Mas?
