When I was very young in the Faith, there’s this statement that was common within our fold, “HOW ARE THE MIGHTY FALLEN!”.
It was David who made that statement in Scripture when he was writing an epitaph on the demise of Saul the first king of Israel after the latter was slain on mount Gilboa – 2 Sam.1:19.

So, it was common to hear brethren say in those days, “HOW ARE THE MIGHTY FALLEN!”.
Over the years, this statement has been used to capture the painful incidence of the “fall” of spiritual giants, such that many do not see “the other side of the coin”.

But during an early morning prayer in the early hours of today, I heard the Spirit of God whispering to my heart, “HOW ARE THE FEEBLE RISEN!”.

Great! We have talked much about how people have fallen; it’s time to concentrate much energy and attention on how people are rising in this hour.
It’s good to learn from the mistakes of others and move on but it is the goal of the Spirit of God this hour to focus more attention on the work that He’s doing in men and women all over the world.

When some people look at our generation, what they have are WORRIES based on perceivable negative patterns (and understandably so) but there’s MUCH HOPE in this generation because it’s not basically a factor of man; it is GOD IN ACTION!
We must not allow the “DIFFICULTIES” in a generation to blur our vision of the limitless and tremendous POSSIBILITIES of God at the reach of that generation.

Truthfully, there are obvious negative patterns in some quarters but think about this friend; the negative tendencies exhibited by a few in a generation do not fully capture the framework of the entire workings of the Spirit in that generation.
The doctrinal lopsidedness, ethical blunders, moral depravity, arrogant disposition and social media excesses and “shenanigans” of a few young men and women do not fully represent the true stance and posture of the entire generation.

So, when I see our generation, what I see “MAJORLY” is HOPE. Young hearts are burning for Jesus in this very hour.
There’s a growing thirst and hunger for the realities of God in the horizon, like never before.

When I see firebrand ministers rising from the northern part of our country which has been ravaged by terrorism and religious intolerance over the years, I see hope.
When I see young hearts burning for Christ and manifesting Kingdom authority from the eastern part of our country which was once ravaged by the civil war, I know that God is not a Respecter of persons.

When I see young men and women pursuing God with passion and entering into ministry in their large droves, driven by love for Jesus from the Southwestern part of our country which was once neck deep in idolatry, rituals, superstitions and religious bigotry, I know that the Holy Spirit has taken over the stage.

Friend, THERE’S SO MUCH HOPE IN OUR GENERATION. Like never before, we’re seeing young men and women carry the anointing of the five-fold ministry upon them.

Great apostles. Mighty prophets. Firebrand evangelists. Strong pastors. And Deep teachers.
We also see an array of strong intercessors, seasoned music ministers, distinguished leadership vessels, etc.

Friend, THERE’S HOPE IN OUR GENERATION. I can see it. Nobody can talk me out of it. I can see it. It is real. Glory to God!
I agree that there are little excesses by a few but the workings of God’s Spirit in this time far outweigh any man’s misdemeanour.
If we don’t see POSSIBILITIES in our generation; if all we’re seeing are “DIFFICULTIES”, then our vision becomes myopic and we will not partner with the Spirit of God as we ought.

True fathers see POSSIBILITIES in the future generation and create an enabling environment for their children to explore such POSSIBILITIES.
We talk about great men today because generations before them saw POSSIBILITIES in their generation and they prophesied them into it.

At the time of the Second World War, Dr. Lester Sumrall was in a Bible school in England and when British authorities came up with the directive of repatriating non-nationals to their countries, he went to meet Smith Wigglesworth whom he had always enjoyed close fellowship with at home.

He went for prayer as he concluded plans to go back to America.
Wigglesworth stood up, draw Lester Sumrall close to him as Sumrall knelt down; tears flowed from the old man’s (85 then) eyes and touched the young man’s brow (26 then) and he blessed him.

He said the following words, “Oh God, let all the faith that is within my heart be in his heart. Let all the knowledge of God that resides in me also reside in him. Let all the gifts of the Spirit that function in my ministry function in his life”.

He opened his eyes suddenly and then spoke about the prophetic vision he saw about the end-time. He told Sumrall, ” I see it. I see it”.
Shutting his eyes again, he said, ” I see the greatest revival in the history of mankind coming to planet earth, may be as never before. And I see the dead raised. I see every form of disease healed. I see whole hospitals emptied with no one there. Even the doctors are running down the streets shouting”.

He continued, “I see revival coming. It will be untold numbers and untold multitudes that will be saved. No man will say ‘so many, so many’ because nobody will be able to count those who come to Jesus. No disease will be able to stand before God’s people. It will be a worldwide thrust of God’s power and God’s anointing upon mankind”.

Wigglesworth then opened his eyes and told Sumrall, “I will not see it, but you shall see it. The Lord says that I must go on to my reward, but that you will see the mighty works that He will do upon the earth in the last days”.
Strong words here!!! That encounter made an indelible impression on Dr. Lester Sumrall’s ministry.
Fathers see POSSIBILITIES in the future generation, not only CHALLENGES.
Oral Roberts also toed that line. He saw the POSSIBILITIES of God in the lives and ministries of his spiritual children.

Let me take the liberty to quote very briefly the parting words of his bestselling autobiography, “EXPECT A MIRACLE”.
He spoke about Benny Hinn, Richard Roberts (his son and successor), Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and Rodney Howard-Browne.

He said, “I have poured out my life with an unquenchable thirst to obey God and not man in every area. My life and my ministry are not over yet. I am healthy, enthusiastic, energetic, still believing, still working, and I won’t give up – never, never, never with everything that’s in me. I believe that the best is yet to come”.

“When I say the best is yet to come, I see it in the awesome miracle ministry of my dear young friend, Pastor/Evangelist Benny Hinn, whose crusades are unprecedented in our time, particularly concerning the anointing. There’s no auditorium or stadium that holds his crowds. When I’m with him, I cannot help rejoicing, also weeping for joy that God’s signs and miracles do not diminish but keep on increasing. Benny’s bold, uncompromising ministry says ‘the best is yet to come’.

“I see it in my own son, Richard, not only as president of Oral Roberts University but a mightily anointed healing evangelist in his own right. The Holy Spirit’s working of the gift of the Word of Knowledge (see I Cor.12:8) through him, shows me that while my years of ministry and building for God are bringing me closer and closer to my homecoming, Richard’s ministry has just begun on a worldwide scale. As I see the miracles, often exceeding what God has done through me, I see the best is yet to come”.

“I see it in Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, that stalwart, Word-centered, Holy Spirit-anointed couple who flow together as one on television and in crusades across the earth, bringing new hope and deliverance to multimillions. Their lives and ministry say the best is yet to come”.

“I see it in many others, not the least of which is Rodney Howard-Browne, South Africa’s gift to America whose anointing surpasses any I’ve seen in bringing the ‘joy of the Lord’ to the Body of Christ. Like a breath of fresh air, Rodney’s ever-increasing faith and ministry are a revelation that the ‘joy of the LORD is your strength’ (Neh.8:10)”.

Dr. Roberts concluded his thoughts by saying, “Finally, I’m not worried about God or His eternal purpose being fulfilled in the time we have left. I know if we obey God ‘we can’t go under for going over’.
Wow!!! Like Dr. Oral Roberts, I’M NOT WORRIED and I also affirm that THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

God has invested so much in our generation, and He will not fold His hands to watch His investment wasted; He’s raising a new breed of people – THERE IS AN ARMY RISING ON…
In the generation of Samuel, while young men like Hophni and Phinehas were busy stealing the “offerings” and taking advantage of the women, their bad conduct did not stop the move of the Spirit – the Holy Spirit was busy training and preparing Samuel and the rest is history – 1 Sam.2:17-18. Surely THERE IS AN ARMY RISING ON…

I can see it. Glory to God! It’s all over; it’s global; not just from one region. It’s THE HOLY GHOST IN ACTION!
What do you see friend? DIFFICULTIES or POSSIBILITIES? Yes some will “fall” by the way (it’s always been like that as old as the Church of Christ is) but I CHOOSE TO SEE THE RISING ARMY.

I choose to go beyond “HOW ARE THE MIGHTY FALLEN!” to “HOW ARE THE FEEBLE RISEN!” (sincere apologies if that offends someone).
Many will be shocked in this end-time, for the hand of God is stretched forth upon the earth to pick those who are considered feeble by the world’s standard.

They will rise. They’re rising. They have risen. And all flesh shall see it together, for all nations shall be eyewitnesses to this mighty and unprecedented move of the Spirit.
Surely THERE IS AN ARMY RISING ON… in our day dear friend.
Choose to be counted!
Grace abounds unto you!!
